1. Tell us about your journey at Sertis
I started my career at Sertis as a Data Analyst in the Data Analytics team because I believe data is very powerful. If used correctly, it can grow your business enormously. Having been a data analyst for a while I had the opportunity to shift my position to Data & Technology Consultant. As a new role, I have been able to get in touch with clients more, understand the pain points of clients in each business unit, and transfer customer needs to specialists in order to design solutions that meet their business needs.
2. Comparing your Day 1 to present
Data analyst was a memorable job for me because it was my very first job after I graduated from university. I felt that it was a very challenging job because to analyze data to gain insights it went through a lot of processes. This gives me the opportunity to learn from other teams, whether it’s a data engineer or a data scientist or a software engineer. It’s been a really good experience that gives me a better understanding of the process of doing data analytics. In addition, storytelling is also a very important skill as well, which is what I have been practicing from working as an analyst.
Then after having the opportunity to work as data & technology consultant, the main idea of this role is to connect with customers which allow me to gain communication and negotiation skills so that I can understand and offer solutions that are suitable for them. From the first day till now, I feel very lucky and appreciate being a Sertizen.
3. Your most proud of initiative
A project that I am proud of is my previous work on the “Customer Analytics Platform” where I had the opportunity to hear customer needs and actually design a solution for the first time. Although it is not a big project, it is very challenging as it is a project that needs quick results. Moreover, I had the opportunity to work with software engineers, which is a new area for me, to ensure the designed solution can display properly in the interface.
Another part of working as a data & technology consultant that I feel proud of is when delivering the work. I had the opportunity to present the perspective of using data for the benefit of customers. It makes me feel really good to deliver a solution that can solve customer problems.
4. The best thing about working at Sertis
What I like and want to share about working at Sertis is displayed in our core values that encourage people in the company to be more knowledgeable. The company provides a budget for learning support every month, for both related to work and non-related to work such as extracurricular activities or hobbies of interest. It makes me feel like I’m learning new things all the time. Moreover, if interested in working in other scopes, the company also supports and gives opportunities to rotate to work in other fields.
5. Any advice to Sertizen new joiners
Working at Sertis is like a chance to have a platform to express new ideas. And being open to new ideas is also a very good development for myself and everyone. It allows us to know what other people think so that we can apply it to our ideas. Apart from work, Sertis also supports team building activities with a budget for organizing a team activity or project activity monthly for the team to hangout together and build team synergy.
