Today, we are proud to introduce Chalee, our Data Analyst in the Data Analytics team, who enjoys working in collaboration within the team and across teams and believes that he could not find a better workplace anywhere else since he joined Sertis. He frankly shares with us his skill development journey, what pushes him to become the person he is today, the best thing about being a Sertizen and the advice he has for those who want to join Sertis.

1. Tell us about your journey at Sertis
Sertis is my second workplace and I have been working here for almost 2 years. I joined Sertis as a Data Analyst working on the project to support a leading payment gateway client as my first project to create the data mart (data preparation), dashboard and look after their whole infrastructure. Currently I am working on another project to support the customer & lifetime value team. My roles and responsibilities are managing the project and communicating with the clients to align and deliver the best solutions to match with their needs.
In my previous job at an e-commerce startup women fashion brand company, it gave me a similar work experience and the same culture compared to Sertis, for example, the colleagues are mostly from the same generation and our ways of working are a good match, which gave me the familiar vibes I used to enjoy.
2. Comparing your Day 1 to present
With my previous experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, I was only working internally, thus my soft skills, such as; communication, presentation, slide creation, and storytelling were the areas I built-up for myself since I joined Sertis.
All Sertizens are brilliant with a great variety of skills which gave me a sense of self-awareness that I should keep improving myself each and every day. Everyone here has been very helpful and open to each other, which led me to become the person I am today and I am really happy and proud of my progress. Even though some decided to move on to a new journey outside of Sertis, our new joiners have become a great addition to the team with the same vibe and culture we passed on to each other. These amazing people and culture are the main reasons that have motivated me to wake up everyday to contribute great work to the team here at Sertis.
3. Your most proud of initiative
One of the successful things I had worked on is maintaining a great relationship with the client and being able to kick-start a new client’s project with the trust from our client. However, each project never came from just my initiative, but from all team members who helped initiate and develop the project together until the finish line.
4. The best thing about working at Sertis
The culture and people both within the Data Analytics team and the company is so unique that I don’t believe I could find a better workplace anywhere else. Although working remotely has been tough for us at the beginning, in terms of maintaining our great culture, and most importantly delivering the best solutions to clients, there are tools like Gather Town to meet up, discuss work, or play games together which keep us connected.. I can say that all of my team’s members always make sure that we spend some out of work time together to maintain our strong relationships and keep our spirit alive.
Moreover, the PeopleOps and support team at Sertis has always surprised us as they have been working very hard to provide fun activities, events for us to join as well as all the great and entertaining communication materials shared across the company.
5. Any advice to Sertizen new joiners
Our core values are things that really explain each of us as a Sertizen. We trust each other and each of us has the ownership of the work we are responsible for. Whenever we struggle with new challenges, we can always reach out to anyone for help with whatever situation we are facing. Also, we have a growth mindset and are always open for opinions to deliver the best solutions to clients. With this mindset, we always look for new learning opportunities and that is why we are open to new experiences and knowledge. Lastly, we are always excited to get to know all Sertizen new joiners, as we are in the same family and you will always feel like home at Sertis.
